History: Alucard was born as Vlad III Dracula, Count Dracula. The Turks invaded his homeleand in their conquests to spread the Ottoman Empire. At the tender age of 12, he and his brother were captured and made prisoners. While Radu, his brother, converted to Islam and got along well with the Sultan, Vlad did not. He was raped and sodomized by the ruler as punishment for his defiant behavior, during which he would clutched his silver cross in defiance.
In 1453, the city of Constantinople fell to the Ottomans, threatening all of Europe with an invasion. Vlad was charged with leading a force to defend Wallachia from an invasion. When he became the Voivode of Wallachia, he launched an all-out war on the Turks which devastated both sides. He became known Vlad Ţepeş ("Vlad the Impaler") and as Kazıklı Bey ("the Impaling Prince") by the Turks, gaining a fearsome reputation throughout the lands. Eventually, his troops were defeated, his people were killed (although mostly executed by his own hands), and his homeland was set ablaze. Vlad himself was to be executed. However, before he was beheaded, he drank of the blood from the battlefield and became a true vampire. When he accepted the powers of darkness, the silver cross he had always carried with him shattered and turned his back on God.
He became famous for punishing criminals in his own lands and abroad, for waging a war against the Muslims in hopes of bringing down "the New Jerusalem," and for sacrificing his troops and his people to achieve his own goals. When he lost his war and was captured by the Turks, he realized that he had failed. Feeling abandoned by God, he abandoned God in turn. In a moment of perfect despair, he drank up the blood of his scorched and besieged homeland and became a vampire.
Centuries later, in 1897, the events of Bram Stoker's Dracula unfold that create the backstory of Hellsing. Abraham Van Helsing, Arthur Holmwood, Quincey Morris, and Jack Seward defeated Count Dracula and killed those who served him. Abraham van Helsing told Dracula that Mina Harker was freed from his grasp and that he has nothing left. That he was nothing. He drove a stake through the Count's heart. From that that point on, the Count became a servant for Hellsing and his descendants, serving each successive generation. Abraham then forced the Count to retell the story to Bram Stoker but include the death of his Brides and his own death by the hands. That is how the world would forever remember him as: The Impaler Count Dracula.
During World War II, in 1944, Dracula went by the codename 'Alucard' given to him by Sir Arthur Hellsing, the son of Abraham van Helsing. Alucard (taking the form of a 13-year-old girl), along with a 14-year-old Walter C. Dornez, were sent on a mission to Warsaw, Poland, to stop Millennium's vampire production program. Their sucuss along with the American D-Day invasion marked the end of WWII. Decades later, in 1969, Alucard was imprisoned in a dungeon in the Hellsing manor by Arthur. According to Sir Hugh Irons, Arthur Hellsing came to believe that Alucard was "too powerful a drug to be used as more than the occasional medicine."
After Arthur's death in 1989, Alucard was awakened by his daughter, Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing. He drank drops of her blood after she came to his cell and her shoulder was clipped by a bullet. Alucard saved Integra (then only 12 years old) from her traitorous uncle, Richard, and became her servant.
In present day England, Alucard is called to duty to eradicate a vampire and his ghouls under Integra's command.
Personality
Immortal and almost invincible, Alucard is the most crazy ass strongest vampire in his known verse. He's deeply entrenched in violence, relish in being a sadist, and he's proud of his power. His only desire is to fight strong opponents that humanity has to offer, in his belief that it must be a human who end his life as a monster.
He freely taunts and humiliates his opponents, taking delight in tearing them physically, emotionally, and mentally. He savors breaking them before he kills his prey and devours them.
Underneath his dark facade, Alucard seems deeply sad and envious of humans, for they are blessed with the gift of death, while he is unable to die and must walk the Earth for eternity because he denied God's existence. Over the course of his existence of the unlife. Alucard chose to become a monster to obtain power and escape death, thus he regrets it. He is selfish, mean, and possessive but when it comes to love, it's both passionate and obsessive when it comes to people he loves and perhaps learn to care.
